Coming, and going
June 17, 2009
Our family arrived back in Cincinnati 1:30am Monday morning after a long day on the road coming back from New Hampshire. First thoughts in exiting the car: Wow, I’m tired. Wow, plants and grass grow like crazy this time of year. We enjoyed our time with my mom’s sisters and extended family and the beauty of the Northeast. Vermont has a law against billboards on highways. Beautiful scenery, but made us realize that we can get slightly disoriented without constant reminders of how far until the next pit stop.
Upon our return we learned that this past Sunday was the last one for the Bye family at CMF. I had known this may be a possibility, but plans had been unsettled until recently as the couple buying the house is looking to move in sooner rather than later. I’m thankful there was a chance for an impromptu blessing and sending during the service. The Bye family has meant a lot to our fellowship and I have personally appreciated working alongside Jeanne in the church office. We’ll miss their gifts and continuing to see their children grow up in the congregation, but we also send them with good wishes and blessings in their move to Pennsylvania, with hopes for many good years spent close to family and many good harvests of whatever the land will bring forth.
